You absolutely can! The reason you're probably here, though, is that you don't want to.
My job as a Travel Advisor is to do all the hard work so you can just enjoy your vacation. I take the stress out of travel planning!
When you work with me, there's no need for you to research, stay on long holds (with airlines, cruise lines, or hotels), or question whether or not you made a hard to fix mistake during the process.
Yes, there are a few services that I charge a fee for.
For those who need help researching and pricing a vacation, there is an upfront Trip Planning Fee.
The fee varies based on amount of travelers and the number of destinations included in the quote.
When you pay this fee, you are entitled up to 3 quotes.
There may also be fees for standalone airfare, rail, or car rental. Otherwise, when a package is booked(multiple items at once), there are no additional fees incurred.
For most options(cruise, hotel, guided tour), the rate will be about the same as you can find online. Keep in mind that when you book these services direct, agency commission is already included. In other words, you're paying for my services whether or not you use it.
That being said, there is plenty of added benefits when working with Travel by DAE. You can often get extra perks (free upgrade, extra onboard credit, activity voucher, e.g.) and those will be listed in your quotes.
Education is something I(Dionne Evans, the Agency Owner) invest in and that reaps benefits for you, my clients.
In addition to the complimentary benefits I provide my clients (destination guide and custom activity list, e.g.), I also provide the extra value of knowing the products I sell and the people who are behind those products. I have boots on the ground in many of the destinations I sell whether at a resort or on a cruise.
I utilize those contacts to make your experience extra special!
Yes and No. While I can sell almost any destination or type of travel, I only work with vendors(resorts, cruise lines, etc) that provide at least a 4 star experience.
I do that so I can guarantee that my clients have a certain level of comfort and service.
Absolutely not. In many cases, 4 and 5 star products are less than you think.
They also come with extra value. While it may seem more expensive up front, when you look at what's included at the 4 star property vs the 3 star or below, you'll often find that you'll end up paying more at the 3 star. There are extra expenses not accounted for in some of these "low rates." When you add those up, you might end up paying more at the 3 star while getting a lower standard of service and accommodations.
